- Helmets. Helmets are for your safety and protection. All riders are REQUIRED to wear helmets.
- Ride – Don’t Race. Remember, this is NOT an event looking to set land speed records – this is a bike ride. There are no awards for first, second, third, etc. Take your time, enjoy yourself, and be safe above all.
- Share the road.
- Obey traffic laws. Obey all stop signs and stop lights. Obey all directions from Local and State Police who will be accompanying and monitoring the ride.
- Signal when turning or stopping.
- Ride with traffic.
- Ride to the Right. Ride as far to the right side of the road as is safe.
- Pass on the Left. Always be on the lookout for other overtaking cyclists.
- Keep your distance. Maintain an adequate distance between you and the cyclist ahead of you.
- Passing. When passing someone, call out so that they know you're coming.
- Courtesy Matters. Do not cut off other riders.
- Danger. If you spot a road hazard, call out to let riders nearby know.
- Keep your ears clear. No headphones or cell phone use while riding.
- Keep at least one hand on the handlebars at all times.
- Cycle defensively.
- Move off the road when you stop to rest, repair your bike, or use your cell phone.

Family Fun Ride
- Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Challenge Ride:
- Children age 16 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Part of the route requires the use of a sidewalked area one mile long. You must ride single file. Yield to pedestrians. Keep your speed down and be prepared to stop.
- Part of the route requires the use of Beach Club parking (for about one mile). You must ride single file. Yield to pedestrians and vehicles. Keep your speed down and be prepared to stop. Be alert for narrow paths.
- Seven Presidents Park - Rest Area/Turnaround Point: Riders arriving at Seven Presidents Park must wait for the Course Marshall to give the “all clear" before leaving. This is required to ensure that we do not have riders going southbound and northbound in the sidewalked area of the course.
