Timmy’s Tour de Shore, starting and ending inside Gateway National Park, will also offer riders a chance to enjoy a pleasant bike ride along the coast.   Challenge Riders will be riding through the beautiful towns of Sea Bright, Monmouth Beach, and Long Branch.

Sandy Hook – Gateway National Park

Sandy Hook will be the starting point for the 2008 Tour de Shore. Sandy Hook is a breathtaking peninsula, nestled under the Twin Lights lighthouses, and home to centuries worth of rich history. One area of Sandy Hook will be sectioned off exclusively for the ride, and will be the staging ground and ending point for the Tour de Shore.

Sea Bright

Sea Bright is the first community the riders will travel through on the way to Long Branch.   Heading south, the Atlantic Ocean is not far from the road (on the bike riders left). As you bike ride along, look to the right, the Navesink River runs parallel.
